Will Wakeboarding Impact Monroe’s Real Estate Values?
The City Council in Monroe approved a wakeboarding park on Lake Tye in a 4-3 decision. The development, which still needs to submit a contract and agreement addressing liability issues, has some Residents are worried about damage to the lake and Monroe real estate values of nearby properties. But the developer H30 has insisted that wakeboarding is a safe sport and that they plan to take all the necessary precautions to protect properties and the environment.

Banks Are Eager To Sell REOs
The first thing would be investors should understand is that banks are eager to sell REOs because they are non-performing assets which can drain them financially. However, this doesn’t mean that banks are willing to just give REO properties away. While an REO may lose money today, it does hold potential future profit which must be considered when selling to an investor. So the investor needs to understand the local market.

10 metros with biggest 1-year rise in real estate list prices

Editor’s note: This article is based on data compiled by online real estate portal Realtor.com. The top 10 markets were determined based on the largest annual percentage increase in a metro’s median list price of homes displayed at Realtor.com during 2011.
No metro areas west of El Paso, Texas, earned a spot among the top 10 U.S. hot spots with the highest year-over-year hikes in median list price during 2011. Another Texas metro, San Antonio, ranked fifth on the list, based on data provided by online real estate portal Realtor.com.

Washington Ski Resorts:
