Real estate reseller Lenders Clearing House has agreed to sell REO properties for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
“Previously, on average, we acquired and sold 300 foreclosed and abandoned homes a year, after quickly restoring them to ‘like new’ condition and offering them at or above current market pricing,” states Zolt Szorenyi, CEO of Lenders Clearing House.

Washington state has 16 companies listed in Inc. magazine’s list of the 500 fastest-growing companies in the country.
According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, “To qualify for Inc.’s list, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2007, with a minimum revenue requirement in 2007 of $100,000 and a minimum revenue requirement in 2010 of $2 million.”

The Aerospace industry’s increase in hiring has worked to decrease the number of unemployed workers in the Snohomish County area. Aerospace companies such as Boeing have hired nearly 6,000 workers in Snohomish moving the unemployment rated down to 10 percent from 10.1 percent. While that’s not a significant drop in the unemployment rate, it does offer some wider opportunities and hope for the county’s housing sector.

The last week of August and the first week of September have seen mortgage applications fall 9.5% and 4.9% respectively. This continuing decline in mortgage applications demonstrates an ongoing strain on our economy despite historically low interest rates.

The Federal Housing Administration has announced a sharp rise in delinquencies for FHA backed loans. There had been some hope that the amount of delinquencies were on the decline earlier this year; but those hopes are being dashed as new numbers indicate that FHA delinquencies have increased from 3.8 million to nearly 5.7 million.
